They say when you turn 18 this is the time na pwede na magka boyfriend . That's when a family member or even a friend of yours asks you.

"May nanliligaw na ba sayo? "

Then you tell them no one is courting yet they sometimes don't even believe you.

Even if a lot of teens nowadays go into a relationship especially during the time you're in college I chose not to and plan to be in a relationship until after college na.
When I tell my friends this they ask me "why? sayang naman. paano kung may gusto talaga sayo? "
and I always reply to them " edi I will turn them down. " that's when they start asking me "so why nga bakit ayaw mo eh normal naman sa college naman magkabf or gf ah "

So bakit nga?

1. Priorities
In no doubt ,I'm happy for my friends who are in a relationship but for me ,I really want prioritize God first then family friends and then studies. They should be what you are focusing on. Now I'm not saying that it's bad to be in a relationship but there are times kase people can be so blinded with love that they'll forget their studies and all that .

2. Time
Hopefully my first and last boyfriend un my own preference because I believe there's so much valuable things to make better use I want the person I'm gonna be in a relationship is a potential husband I've seen people in tv they have been in a relationship for at least 5 years already and they still don't want to get married yet then sometimes even break up. See? mas gusto ko pa if your single for a few years and prepare for Mr. Right rather than try to be in a relationship then break up after a few months.

3. Prepared
When you commit yourself to someone you should know what your getting into its not "just a relationship " but you submit also to the person you are in a relationship. Dapat alam mo what your your getting yourself into  don't just be in it to be "cool" because everybody's doing it. People nowadays especially teenagers they enter into a relationship because they want to try what is like and you'll even end up heartbroken when the relationship doesn't work out. Or even worst if they do what's not suppose to do the girl even ends up getting pregnant. Wag na tayo umabot now pa lang know these things . So that it won't happen to you. :)

I broke my silence because people asked me about the reasons why I don't want to be in a relationship yet. it's so hard to explain so I just made a blog about it :)

Last Monday Oct. 13 I officially turned 18. But even if it was only for a week I even felt like it was a week long celebration.

I had two early celebrations because I wasn't able to push through with the karaoke hangout because I have been super busy and its so hard to organize and get them together.

So my first early one was I went on a date with Ate Kriza . It happened a week before my birthday We had lunch in Stackers and she surprised me with a gift then went to church together. It was a simple way to start it but definitely it was a great way to start the week before my birthday.

The second early celebration I had was the last friday , I was seventeen with Achi Nats . We just ate dinner together in Jipan then went to St.Marks and lastly Tim Ho Wan. But more than just the food, it was also a great time to catch up with achi because we haven't chatted this long since before I started college.


The day before my birthday I was so happy that finally after such a long time I was able to reconnect with my cousins in Australia :) And now we keep in touch.


Then the actual day came, my fb was starting to flood with greetings and some greeted on twitter. But one thing I didn't expect was before me and my classmates and friends ate the pizza when I turned around a classmate of mine surprised me with a cake including a candle lit up! Couldn't help but shed happy tears haha. I also want to take this time to thank MM11 again for the surprise.

Then had a dinner with my family.


My 18th birthday might not have been celebrated the traditional way like with the debut and the whole enchilada but I'm happy I was able to spend it with the people I love the most and had a great time .


God thank you so much for another year ,the blessings and simply for everything . If it weren't for you all of these things wouldn't happen. Thank you God for making my 18th birthday unique and special. I love you God! :)

So I was inspired to write about why I chose my course from a friend of mine who wrote a blog about it.

Most people when they ask me "Whats your course?" I would reply to them, "MMA".
Most often would think its Mixed Martial Arts . No, it's not the meaning of it is Multimedia Arts.
The course is what you call "jack of all trades" because you have a little bit of video, photo and animation. It's up to you when you get out of college which field you like.

For me , I want a work of mine to be in EDSA and probably work in an advertising agency.

So why did I choose MMA?

When I was in second year I was really thinking of getting Diplomat in Consular Affairs because of my dream to travel to Europe and US.

But what changed my mind was when I attended a photo shoot during my second year. When I was there it seemed to interest me and I enjoy it a lot :) It was something I could myself doing in the future.

Ever since then I started to look for what course so I could have a job as a photographer or work in advertising.

But if there was one thing I realized was the reason why I chose this course is because I wanted to express myself through art . See who I really am through my work artist's have different styles and favorite genras.

Before I entered college,this was one thing I vowed to myself as a way of honoring God I won't accept to make advertisments for liquior and smoking.
Why support something you don't like?


The main reason why I want to show my love to God through art ;)

And also influence others through my artworks about God :)

Ever since I was really young I wasn't the most popular and was never really liked by classmates.
Which was also the reason why growing up I felt insecured of how I look and my confidence was very low.
I was bullied and teased a lot been called  names like "four eyes" and in one particular bullying incident on Facebook someone even told me "sana kunin na lang ni Lord". Because of these bullying incidents I transfered to many schools. From ICA in San Juan,to COLF then VCIS finally homeschool till I graduated high  school.

Honestly ,it wasn't easy for me because I was bullied and teased a lot .I felt unloved at times because of this but it wasn't until when I was in Grade 5 when a friend of my dad invited us to a church called Victory in the Fort. I didn't understand it yet but I had fun because of the KC bucks. It wasn't until the mid year of my sixth grade when I started attending Victory Greenhills. I remember going to Kids Church and I was twelve . I was sitting in the back with one of the teachers named Natalie Yip. We started chatting and became good friends. But our friendship grew deeper the finally she started One to One with me. I think it was at least 2-3 years until finally finished my Victory Weekend October 23,2011 .

During the time I was in my darkest hour (grade 5 to 6) I tried to figure out what was wrong with me. Why I felt like everyone was against me . I fail to realize that I was loved by my family and friends but mostly God. It wasn't until the cyber bullying incident on facebook a year after that He made me realize that I am loved and accepted as I am and that I'm beautiful in God's eyes.

Most of the time when I tell this to my friends now and share my story one of the common things the would ask me is "Max ,didn't you bother revenging against them?"

I would say it's because revenge will do no good. It will only make the bullying worst. I will get hurt even more and after all that bullying I never wanted to go back there again. But mostly it was God and His love that stopped me before I even thought of revenging against them.

I will look back at this bullying as a learning lesson . I learned who my true friends are and standing up for myself.

God thank you for being there for me during those times I felt alone or lonely. And thank you for changing me from being this insecured and unconfident person to this person who feels love ,more confident and secured because I know you will always be there for me and will not do anything that would harm me. I know that you are doing so many amazing things in my life and I thank you for that.

This verse is one of my favorite verses cause it helps me get through my day especially when I'm stressed .
Phil.4:13 "I could do all things through Christ who strengthens me. "

To end this I want to say thank you to my family ,my mentors and to my friends who were there for me through thick and thin. (You know who you are ) .I love all of you :)

June 3 was a start of a new chapter in my life.
COLLEGE.
I had mixed emotions. excited, happy ,thrilled and nervous for many different reasons .
Unexpectedly first day went well and met a lot of people.
As week passed by it became stressful and fun at the same time.

What suprised me? They made me the VP of the class . It was unexpected. We are only 23 in the class so it was easier for me to adjust coming from homeschooling for the last 3 years of HS.

It took time for me to adjust and even until now I'm still adjusting. If there's one thing I want to prove to everyone is that I can have fun in college with not actually going to that much parties and drinking.

I'm happy that I could start with a clean slate and so far I'm doing well in school. Hope this just continues.
But if there's one thing that we have is we treat each other like siblings is what makes us get along so well.
For the past month, we never fought yet .

 I have to admit it wasn't easy choosing iAcademy over CSB which was my dream school. But I guess God had a different direction for me and a purpose.

After mid-terms I'll try heehee

There is  a young man named Nathan Samuels. He is 16 years old. In school he is just an ordinary student who would get honors from time to time. But at home he is this talented guitarist. He doesn't tell any of his classmates because he is normally taunted and teased. But one day an extraordinary thing happened.

He went to a music shop to buy a new guitar an electric because he only has an acoustic.The guitar was black with a design of fire in its body. What the seller failed to tell him that this guitar had special powers.

Three days after buying the guitar he went to his audition for a workshop that most people are artists and famous musicians.The judges were really strict and most often people would say they are the hardest to please.

As he went to the stage he played and the guitar was used he played a very joyful yet rock and roll tune. Most of the judges became happy. And with that he became part of the workshop.

Each song Nathan does in the guitar somehow come out such a melodic and wonderful tune. When they had a recital he was the most liked and well liked because every song he plays he bring happiness and joyful into people's faces.

Because of this he became well known and with that he became popular in school. One time he visited a hospital. He played acoustic song superisingly with the electric guitar .One of the kids has cancer and it was on stage 4 after playing the guitar he was healed .

Ever since then he went to hospitals  to heal children who are sick.
The kid was superised but thrilled as well ever since then the kid was happy and well. The child hugged Nathan and told him "your the best superhero ever!"

Because of this power to heal people through guitar, people admired him and with that Nathan gained confidence and strength. But even if he gets all the praise and fame he still remains humble which is the reason why people love him.

"Karylle"

Sometimes your life can take you on a different path and that happened in my second year ,I was going to be homeschooled. In my opinion at first I really thought it was boring and I would lose my social life. But it looks like God changed my mind and what I think of it.

"Life is like a rollercoaster it has ups and downs"
This quote describes what homeschool was like.

When I was in second year it started with an Ignite 2011 conference . It was fun because I understood God more. Another thing I also liked was that I was exposed to different things. Like going to a photo shoot that made me realize what course I really wanted to take when I go to college and that is Multimedia Arts. The job you can get out of this course is either graphic artist or art director.
Another thing , was I met my best friends DJ and Dione who I will miss when college starts. 2012 was also the year when my creative side started . Because of projects and outputs to do . I also went to a Youth camp in 2012 and experienced watching Showtime too. It was fun . I met a good friend Ate Karylle :) .

To conclude my 2nd year , it was my year of many firsts and meet of new friends. My first time to show my creative side, to be homeschooled and learned what comes with it ,to watch a show live and even go to a photoshoot. It was my first time to meet new friends and new people . Two of them even became my bestfriends.

In my third year, I felt it went by so fast. I met my two new teachers .Teacher Alden and Teacher Melody who eventually also became my good friends . Third year was composed of doing Noli Me Tangere projects with me and just my best friend. Most schools would do plays with 5-10 . We did it with  just us two. With changes of mustaches to differentiate the characters . Another thing was watching Showtime live. Watching Showtime live actually became our outputs in our Filipino and English subjects and was also our stress relievers so thank you Ate Karylle and Kuya Gary for allowing us to watch. Another thing was going on our normal vacations in Subic and Pampanga during the holidays and spend time with our relatives and cousins.

To conclude my third year , it was the 2nd fastest year among the three years that I have been homeschooled. It was filled with fun ,memorable and stress school year. Hehe


Lastly my fourth year, words cannot be explained how this was the best year among the three!!
This year started reviewing for college entrance exams and taking them. It was a huge relief for me that I passed Benilde even if I was sick when I took it so thank God for that. But I also want to thank God for making me open to other schools. Even if Benilde was my most aimed school I ended up going to iAcademy for college. Because of my course choice I got in Benilde for my third and got in iAcademy for my first. It was  also the year I got my cat Pepper. But there are so many things to be thankful for this year. Firstly,my relationship with God grew stronger because of my Vgroup ,my family and my best friends. Secondly, was my teachers including my mom who became very patient with me when it came to my studies and everything that came with it. Thirdly, for God giving me the best birthday ever! I watched Cinderella with my two best friends and unexpectedly after the show with Ate Karylle too. I want to take this time to say thank you to ate for spending some of your time with me on my special day. Lastly, for a wonderful last school year. As high school comes to a close officially on April 24 (day of graduation) I will definitely miss high school.

To close and conclude this blog I want to thank God for saving me in my darkest hour when I was in 5th grade. If it weren't God none of these things that happened. Lastly to everyone who became part of my high school life my family,spiritual family ,my best friends,teachers and everyone I met . I love you all and thank you. I wish I could put here all the names. But it won't fit. haha

I didn't expect my high school life would turn out like this. :)
But hopefully college will be like this to it was truly fun-filled and most memorable thing. THANK YOU GOD! I LOVE YOU! :)
